Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi on Saturday set a new record in his side’s 4-0 victory over Espanyol in the La Liga.

Goals from Lionel Messi (2), Ousmane Dembele (1) and Luiz Suarez ensured victory for Ernesto Valverde’s men.

According to OptaJose, Messi’s brace against Espanyol took him up to 10 for the season in the league, making him the first-ever player to enter double figures in 13 consecutive La Liga seasons.
