Rodgers was in charge of the Hoops for just over two-and-a-half years, during which time he guided the Premiership club to seven trophies with domestic Trebles won in both of his two full seasons at Celtic Park.

The former Swansea and Liverpool boss opted to return to English football last week after Leicester sacked Claude Puel. He took charge of his first Premier League match since October 2015 last Sunday, but suffered a losing return to England’s top flight as Watford triumphed 2-1 over Rodgers’ side at their Vicarage Road home.
